F*CK Burning Man -- it's

The Hanged Man Ritual

S and I were both very excited about our vacation: I was going to San Francisco, and then a few days later flying to Portland, OR to meet her. We had planned a ritual performance in a club in Portland, called The Hive, on August 28. I was to fly back home to New Orleans on September 1.

On August 28 we started our ritual as planned. We concentrated a huge amount of energy into our performance, with the theme as the tarots' "Hanged Man".

The Hanged Man in the tarot represents sacrifice, seeing things from another perspective, temporary clarity: time seems to stand still for a little while. Suspension between physical and mystical worlds brings a sacrifice of beliefs, perspectives, dreams, hope, money, cherished positions, time or even selfhood. Sacrifices force one to open to other perspectives in order to bring illumination and ultimately, change.

I focused myself as a self-sacrificed God for the benefit of all who attended the ritual. My particular focus was "GodForm" -- becoming a God, and to let others see that they have that same potential. We focused on change, on inner and outer levels, change that would mostly affect New Orleans but also touch the world. S and I performed whats called a "death posture" together, and the results were very powerful and astounding to all who came.

Also part of the ritual was Kirtan (ritual chanting). One specific thing we did chant was Kali. I quote from the just linked website:

"Kali is a ferocious form of the Divine Mother... goddess of time and of the transformation that is death (Kala)."

This all happened as the destruction of Hurricane Katrina started hitting New Orleans. We were quite unaware of the severity of it.
